Sneaky Style

Style with functionality. I love how chic sneakers are totally taking over, helping us look good and feel good where ever we may be. Besides, why should we only be comfortable when we are at the gym?

Nepal Notes and iPhoneograpy

I feel like I have just woken up from a dream as I return to reality. Last night I arrived from Nepal and am still feeling quite awestruck. The last two weeks were spent running up mountains, eating beautiful and delicious vegetarian fare in hopes of increasing my positive karma quotient, humbly gazing upon Everest, striking asanas on mountain tops, laughing with my fellow adventurers, and delighting in Nepalese culture. I am incredibly grateful to have had this experience. I could not do this country justice even with a thousand words, but hopefully I have captured some of Nepal's magic in my pictures.

Pictures taken with my iPhone.

Thank you Nepal.

Not all those who wander are lost

Today my certifiable wanderlust is taking me on a new adventure. I am off to marvel in Abu Dhabi, followed by some very zen frolicking in Nepal. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.

I hope this year brings you all many upon many adventures! And join in on my traveling shenanigans by following my instagram: @BoomBoomSmalls

Jewelry Organization

That moment when you find something you hadn't worn in ages and didn't even remember you owned. I always go immediately Gollum, excited at finding my preeeecious. What about you? My Gollum impression is then followed by annoyance at the lack of organization with my jewelry. So next year I'm going to have to work on this.  Here are a few ideas.

I love apothecary jars in the kitchen, and here they are really doing a sweet job of displaying bangles and bracelets. Below are two affordable options.

                                      1                                                   2

These stacking trays do the trick when you have a big collection and limited space. I like the idea of having a view of whats inside without having everything out on display. The Container Store has tons of options and sizes, including the ones above.

Show off the baubles with some jewelry stands. Get yours here.

Up-cycle old mismatched plates or teacups for smaller pieces.

Dessert stands and vintage-esque frames are easy to find and work with the clutter for a shabby chic look.

Sort itty bitty earings and studs with porcelain water color palettes. Find them at art stores or here. (only $4.42!)

So how do you keep the jewels organized?

Delicate & Delightful

Now I love a big honking cocktail ring as much as the next girl, but lately delicate tiny stacking rings have been catching my eye. There is something very sweet and understated about these rings, worn alone or in a stack. Here are my favorites from Etsy.
